CAMPAIGN #45 UNDER WAY!

1.28.5 introduced a radical new addition to Battleground Europe: Differentiated Army Brigades. Each Division is now comprised of 2 Infantry focused Brigades and 1 Armored focused Brigade.

"We have thought long and hard here inside CRS HQ, and argued more than a little over the subject ... but due to the overwhelmingly positive feedback over differentiated army brigades that we trialled in the latter stages of the extended intermission ... we have decided to (roll drums and fanfare) GO WITH THEM FOR THIS CAMPAIGN!" - DOC

Players have expressed their eagerness to see how this new development unfolds. While it might be a bit bumpy at first, the road to victory in Battleground Europe just got a whole lot more interesting!

RAT CHAT AAR

Miss this weeks RAT CHAT?

For all you crazy Euro's who were bent on watching "Football" instead of attending the chat, we've got ya covered. You can download the MP3 in the Announcements Forum.

PAYPAL BILLING ISSUE

We are experiencing a problem with getting accounts using PayPal properly credited with game access time automatically. This also includes T-shirt orders.

We are beginning to manually process completed transactions as quickly as we can.

It might take a couple of days to fully resolve this, i.e., return to a fully automated process.

Please bear with us.

SQUAD PROFILE

Looking for a squad to play with? Check out this weeks "Squad Profile" to see if they're right for you!

Royal Green Jackets
www.royaljackets.com
Allied
CO:Iron13
XO: Fearny, Dubane, Wolfv, Ironnite, Paul01, Malikai, Z00k, hanrac
Number of active players: Around 100
Base of Operations: 24hrs, Mainly US and UK players but we have aussies, Germans and more.
Mission Statement:
Why is it that one squad can go on an attack and be easily defeated and the RGJ shows up and consistently lay waste the enemy? There are many reasons. We have no ego. We are as one. We know our duties. Confusion is not present in the RGJ even in the most intense battle!
Gaming Philosophy:
It means never having to worry about learning about the game. We help new members. It means fighting as a team and never alone.
It means you are playing with like minded fun loving people who have your best interest at heart. It means training and being the best.
It means fighting with precision and purpose.

Above all it means having a good time with close friends.

MAILBAG with GOPHUR

I was wondering why a sniper has no sidearm but a anti-tank rifleman does. Would it be possible to give the snipers a pistol, or regular grenades. I think with a sniper, the whole point is to be stealthy.
-Rick56

The rationale is that a sniper is the undisputed deadliest long range infantry killer in the game. The balance for that is that he has very little close combat capability. We might revisit this loadout in the future if we have some significant game play changes but for now I think the balance is just about right.

What are the possibilities of making a sentry soldier with german shepherd? I believe this would help stop moles and lone cappers and slowly do away with AI. What do ya'll think?
-LockDown

Well, I asked GRANIK what he thought about putting a dog in the game and he mumbled something about we can't have a pet class when we don't even have a healer. So I asked TOTO if he wanted to model and animate a German Shepherd. After his rolling laughter had subsided but before his extra wide grin and smiling eyes had subsided he chortled, "Are you serious?". Personally, I thought it was a perfectly legitimate question. Maybe I'll have to rephrase the question.
