Both the Allied and Axis Commanders in Chiefs are providing an update from the front lines and the status of Campaign 179 and awarding medals to notable players. We are also announcing our next in a series of special events. The next event is "Operation Winter Festival" which will be held on January 30th. Finally welcome aboard our newest RAT volunteer SIDEOUT.
Operation Winter Festival
On Saturday January 30, 2021 starting at 10:00 AM server time (PST) we will be hosting another one in our series of special events. This event will run for 3 hours on the training server and the regular campaign will be locked and suspended for the duration of the event. More information about the event parameters will be posted next week but here's a taste what we're cooking up:
DIEPPE MONOLOGUE: Late Summer of 1942 . . . the U.S. unexpected victory at the Battle of Midway has stunned the expansion of the Empire of the Rising Sun. The Allies are marshalling resources to assist the hard-pressed Eastern Front forces as once again the Axis juggernaut has vaulted towards the Caucus’ threatening the name-sake city of Stalingrad with the 6th Army led by von Paulus. Yet history would later reveal hoped for success and tragedy as Summer turned to Fall. As the calendar turns to August, Stalin insists on some type of assault on the Western Wall of Occupied France. While stretched across the global seas, the Royal Navy reigned supreme especially in the home waters of The Channel and RAF fighters sortieing over Occupied France in increasing numbers, the Allied Commanders prepared to roll the dice with a daring raid as a precursor to a possible future invasion to reclaim Europe. Was the vaunted West Wall propaganda or real? Is YOUR plan to re-live or re-write history? Join CRS and the player-run High Commands as they host special event Operation Winter Festival
Report from the Axis Commander in Chief Shagher
Brothers!
As we get closer to the German towns to pick up our real weapons I am wondering....
Are the Allies realizing yet we trapped them into getting high hopes only to destroy them on our homeland?
Are they aware that their weapons from out of space cannot help them break the Axis spirit???
Axis' hard-core soldiers are in the field today fighting hard and it makes me proud!
Luftwaffe has been crushing the Allies factories giving us a constant supply advantage!
The coming days are make or break so get ready!!!
As I watch you charge the enemy I remember a quote from a staff general to Napoleon:
" Watch them charge Sir, those are the good ones!"
At the time it was the 11eme Chasseurs a Cheval
Tomorrow morning it is the 4th Panzer Division!!
AXIS POWER

Report from the Allied Commander in Chief Colt
Day 10, Campaign 179: From the start of the campaign Allied forces have been working together taking towns like never seen before. A big south push, and securing our northern flank as we speak, everything has been made possible by squads working together as a team on the AOs and DOs. Comms are great, everyone is enjoying themselves, and being your CinC is a joy right now. Our soldiers are fighting vigorously across the front, backed by great air force presence, great ground troops driving trucks, and the little mattie that could. Let’s stay the course and keep the map moving west, while not forgetting to have fun. Join in the planning of these offensives ad help out the day-to-day operations; High Command needs YOU. Do you want to get an idea of what HC is like? Just PM an HC officer and ask to be made OIC of an AO or DO, you’ll lead the objective, have access to the HC chat channel, and get a feel for what it’s like. We would love to have you. On a side note we have revamped the awards system a little bit, in addition to the “end of campaign” awards (view the ones from Campaign 177 here https://forums.wwiionline.com/topic/429143-attention-allies-campaign-177-awards/
We have been giving out awards for the jobs every-day grunts do: air support, combat engineers, FB defense, and CP guarding, which you can find on the WWIIOL forums under “player awards.” We’ve got a few more goodies coming for the awards, so stay tuned!

Welcome to Kevin "sideout" Comer to CRS's Community Management team. Sideout will be working as High Command Trainer XO with Imbrutus CO and he will be working on medals and awards for for both Allies and Axis sides.
