MOTORMOUTHThe past week's events have created a whole new batch of screenshots and stories!

BLITZKRIEGERS VS THE WORLD!

The event held on the training server saw an influx of veteran players ready to teach "noobs" a lesson. The lesson learned? Never underestimate the creativity of a noob! An enterprising mission leader set up an MSP smack dab in the middle of the AB with the expected results: a slaughter! The Blitzkriegers may have had their noses bloodied, but they didn't give up. They rallied their strength and kicked in to high gear to win the second round and reclaim their honor! Salute to both sides!

REALISM EVENT- OPERATION SEA LION

This open event had some of the best action so far! There were battles everywhere: on land, in the air, and on the sea. The battles ranged from small skirmishes to major engagements. The event ended in a draw when the Allies could not complete the liberation of Folkstone. They were only minutes away from recapturing the Axis spawnable but the Axis clung to life when the 2 AB's fell to the Allied Forces.

THE RATS LAST STAND

The afternoon event proved one thing: The players love to hunt their Rats! Outnumbered 4 to 1 on the training server, Playnet and High Command staff barely held onto Willemstad for 40 minutes before the AB was capped by the players and the Rats saw their escape transport sink to the bottom of the Channel! But when pushed into a corner a Rat becomes vicious! When the players spawned in for the evening event they found their supply "mysteriously" thinned out...Oops! Even handicapped by forces beyond their understanding, the players attacked with merciless zeal. The battle was about to be declared a win for the players when a miracle occured! DOC "somehow" managed to make his way onto the escape transport while the attackers shook their collective fists at him from the beach!

SERVER-WIDE CEASE FIRE

Over the past seven years, the WWIIOL community has lost many more members than we'd like. Thousands of people paid them tribute in a gathering at the Builders Bridge in Dinant. Weapons were lowered and many said quiet goodbyes to lost friends. Thanks to everyone who participated in the events of the past week. We hope that you all had as much fun as we did!
