We've got some more player conventions in the works.
ANZACS are looking for a few good men (and women) to join them for their annual "Snowy Con" at The Ski Inn in Jindabyne. So be sure to visit www.anzac.mdsnews.com for the full details and to register. More on the Convention from Salador, XO of the Anzacs and official "Cruise Director":
"Thats right gimps and gimpettes.. I've gotten off my lazy ass and started to organize.
So whats the go..
Dates:
April 3rd to April 6th, 2009 (feel free to come a night or two earlier to assist in setup - no charge for nights prior to con)
Layout:
The Ski Inn in Jindabyne once again - We have 25 ensuited rooms and a massive lounge dining area for PC setup on dual 3phase power.
Costs:
The cost per person will be $65 bucks a person PER NIGHT.
What's that give you:
Accommodation for 3 nights Friday, Saturday, Sunday, leave Monday), Internet access. I am hoping to get 3 ADSL links going (hopefully ADSL 2)
Structure:
Usually we start the con on Friday morning at Canberra doing a tour of the Aussie War Memorial care of Kkoori. We then convoy down to Jindy and set up PCs. Networking and hubs etc will already be in place as well as a wireless gateway for those with decent laptops. Projector for dog fighting, training etc will also be made available again.
We need a definite list of attendees now please.. Payment can be made via credit card (Amex, Visa, Mastercard etc) via phone or email (phone is 02 6456 2174) prior to the con.
Shirts etc:
Shirts will once again be done in a similar style to the 2006 con. This means I need GAME NAMES of people attending well before time so I can get them printed.. and preferrably a shirt size.
ANZaxis will be invited to attend - they will of course be required to play allied during the con.. good time to get to know them. (and vice versa)
I ALSO NEED a couple fo people to step up for training or demo stuff. I'm happy to demo sappers and inf capping etc.. need a tanker and a fly boy and a navy poof to do up some training stuff. ALSO prizes.. every con we give away stuff - think on it and bring something if you can."
