This weeks report features updates from SNIPER62 Development Team Lead, and SCKING Quality Assurance Team Lead. Players as these (and their team members) volunteer their time for the betterment of WWII Online, and are always looking for players like YOU to join their teams. From the desk of SNIPER62

The Development (Dev) team has a broad role. This is home base for our programming team and they're often in the game's client, host, or other supporting architecture working to improve the player's experience or our game as a whole. Listed below is a fraction of the work currently in progress:

• Both KE (Kenetic Energy) and HE (High Explosive) audits are in Quality Assurances hands for testing. This is the final step before release w00t!
• Through the work of several team members solely allocated to this task, 1.36 UI is making progress and looking really good. 
• For the Axis, the StuH 42 is in the works.
• The Allies will be getting two new Close Support tanks, the Churchill V CS and Crusader III CS.
• Ammo reload and Turret traverse times have been updated to be more realistic.
• The game will be utilizing a new installation procedure that allows for some addition options during the install.
• The 64 bit (PC version) is in its final stages of upgrading and will be moving onto testing within the next few weeks.

The Quality Assurance (QA) team ensures that all new development receives an initial hands on look prior to distributing to the end users. They will test, report and advise our team on anything that will negatively affect a user's experience. Listed below are some of the items we are testing:

• KE/HE audits. We are testing weapon vs. weapon - in every scenario imaginable.
• Testing/replicating issues from the .bug reports. Please note...
  • The .bug reports are provides us with additional game information useful for finding and replicating game and terrain issues.
  • The .report is for communicating to the Game Managers of player related issues.
• Testing terrain fixes
• Preparing/training team for upcoming 64 bit application testing

MacOS Beta / 64 bit Warning post

SCKING has posted this thread in the forums. If you are a Mac user you may want to join the discussion...

"I just wanted to put this warning out there as a fellow Mac player. Apple typically releases developer and public Beta versions of MacOS in the month of June/July and the next version (assuming 10.14) will only support 64-bit applications. If you install the Beta version of MacOS, and 64-bit of the game has not been released, you will most likely not be able to run the game. We are making progress on 64-bit version of the game but I am not sure it will be done prior to the MacOS Beta release."  Thread link

Webmap and Battleground Europe Game Manager (BEGM)

As most have noticed, the Webmap has not been tracking the game. Despite the huge workload from SNIPER62, a fix is being worked on. In the mean time, the BEGM is functional and can be downloaded here.
