We are pleased to announce the return of Nathan "WESTY91" West and Rich "BLKHWK8" Woytowich to CRS as returning Assistant Community Managers for the Allied side. Their names may sound familiar as they served in the same positions in 2018 and 2019. In addition, today we are re-posting the current in-game facility capture timer information for your reference.
The Rat WESTY91 Returns
We would like to announce Westy91 as a returning member of the Community Management team. He will be an Assistant Community Manager and Allied Liaison to CRS. Westy91 joined the game as a free-to-play player in 2014, joining the 12th Royal Lancers on his first day and has remained there since. He joined Allied High Command in August 2016 and worked up to British Country Command, serving under several allied CinCs. In 2018 he took over as allied CinC and began to reform and bring in new officers in order to set up AHC for the future. Please welcome Westy91 back to the team.
Message from Westy91:
When I came into CRS the first time, it was awesome. I felt I was making a difference. I was enjoying it. And then real life, as it always does, hit me with unexpected issues. Two years later, I'm back and ready to do it all over again. For those who don't know me, I'm Westy, one of the British contingent of the 12th Royal Lancers. I'm a part-time gamer, writer, and a recent streaming convert. I'm chuffed to be returning to the Community Management gang and getting stuck firmly into the the issues that matter to the Allied High Command and the playerbase of WWIIOL.
See you on the battlefield.
The Rat BLKHWK8 Returns
We would like to announce Blkhwk8 as a returning member of the Community Management team. He will be an Assistant Community Manager and Allied side liaison to CRS. Blkhwk8 joined CRS in July 2017 and served in several CRS capacities before leaving in 2019. His prior experience here will allow him to get up and running in no time!
Message from Blkhwk8:
My name is Blkhwk8 I started playing this great game in September of 2001 and have seen the original concept develop to its current iteration. I have done everything you can think of for this game, including QA, GM, Squad CO, one of the first members of High Command when it was introduced as well as several terms as CinC. While the majority of my game play has been on the Allied Side I have played as a member of the Axis. I originally came aboard as a CRS member at the conclusion of my last CinC term in late 2017 as the Community Manager and had to step away for some in real life commitments. As I have come to more free time, I contacted Xoom to see how I could help. This is a great game, and I look forward to working with all the playerbase to keep this going.
Capture Timers
No Changes have been made recently, however, we wanted to publish the information again.
Balanced capture timers remain in-effect. This means if you're underpopulated, you'll have a bit faster capture speeds, and if you're overpopulated there will be a little bit slower capture speeds. We think there's a decent balance here between the large influx of player feedback we've received and the stability inherent in 1.36's game design. We need to keep players interested and the map dynamic.
Number of Cappers - Time to Cap
- 240 seconds
- 120 seconds
- 90 seconds
- 80 seconds
- 70 seconds
- 60 seconds
- 60 seconds (And so on)
No issues with the Timers, initial delay getting into the game - yes, I've never switched from playing the "side" of my choice due to the delay and feel it's a waste of my time.... maybe others do switch?
You failed to say why timers are bad for the game.
