This is an important week not only due to the Special Event:  The Weygand Plan but also for the history of the world and . . .

We would be remiss if we, as followers of history, did not take a moment to reflect on the ending of the First World War on the 11th hour of the 11th day on the 11th month.  The memorialization of that sober yet welcomed event will be echoed through the CRS media channels and well as an in-game message repeated throughout the day of November 11th.  It is our way of gratefully saying They Shall Not Grow Old as we remember them.

Special Event:  The Weygand Plan

With the "Remembrance Weekend" upcoming, CRS is hosting Special Event:  The Weygand Plan.  As mentioned in last week's report, the event will kick-off on Sunday, 14th of November, at 11am Server Time / US Pacific Time (UTC-8).  We would recommend getting online a little early for the mission briefing on the WWIIOL Discord Server.  *NOTE*  If you are interested in taking an active leadership role (strategic or tactical) within the event, please contact your respective High Command leaders or the Community Management Team.

EVENT RULES

Event Start: 14 November, 2021 (Remembrance Sunday in the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth Nations) at 11:00a.m. Server Time/U.S. Pacific Standard Time (UTC -8)

Location: Training Server (Campaign will be suspended during the event)

Starting Position: British in Arras, Aubigny, and Lens; French in Fechain and Bouchain; Germans in Bapaume, Marquion, Cambrai, and Solesmes

Allied Victory Conditions: Take Bapaume and Cambrai

Axis Victory Conditions: Take and hold Arras

Supply Rules: Reduced supply in garrisons and standard supply for brigades

Equipment: Tier Two (1940-1942)

Campaign Update - #185

Day 8 of the Campaign with Antwerp and Brussels ensconced in Allied hands; however, the Meuse River defensive positions have been compromised at several key points with the historically significant town of Sedan falling this evening despite diligent and heroic efforts from the French troops.  Axis forces are probing into the Mazagran area but have been smartly repulsed despite a numerical advantage and persistent Luftwaffe attacks.  Rally your squads, contact your friends - the WAR is on!

In order to keep the Community Report at a reasonable length (lol - who doesn't like 1,200 word status reports?), the resumption of the Mailbag has been pushed back to next week.  We have some good questions and commentary coming out of the Mailbag Channel on Discord so please keep posting!
