Members of the Community, some of you may not be aware that we recently lost two long-standing members of our community in Deadly2u (James Stafford) and KMS (Kirk Seitz). The ongoing project of WWII Online has been progressing since 2001 and over the course of nearly 21 years, both of these valued community members have been involved at either the squad level, player-run High Command organization, Joint Training Command, or Community Management. As we are finite beings, their individual commitment to their friends, community and the game for so many years needs to be recognized.
On 1 May 2022, Cornered Rat Software (CRS) requests that our friends and members of the WWII Online community join us in commemorating their passing while celebrating their lives and friendship. The Memorial Service is scheduled to begin at 1100 hours Server Time (US PST) / 1300 hours (US CST) / 1400 hours (US EST) / 1800 hours GMT on the Training Server. ***** PLEASE NOTE *****
This event is being live-streamed for viewing by our gaming community throughout the world but more importantly, we are here to honor these dedicated gamers, their families, and loved ones. They will be watching, too, so miscellaneous firing, grenade throwing, or other shenanigans will NOT be tolerated during the service.
You will be directed on what to do, where to go, and when it is appropriate for you to speak on voice comms.
If you are unsure of what to do, be silent and line up alongside your fellow gamers. Watch and learn.
Thank you for your cooperation,
Cornered Rat Software

I sincerely hope that you make the effort to attend the Memorial Service. While it is a sad time, it also allows us to gather together to reminisce and reconnect with old friends in-game while sharing some treasured memories. I worked with KMS directly when I joined the Community Management Team for the Axis. He was always patient in answering my questions and was calm and collected when I got fired up over various things being new to the team. He will be missed by many of us in the community and at CRS.
