An excerpt from the desk of the Allied Commander-in-Chief: Campaign 52 has begun in earnest. The allies are off to a great start. We have held the axis to very little gains. Epic battles have raged in the south at places such as Longwy and Piennes, which were both pitched battles back and forth. Even though the axis eventually took those towns, our tenacity in defense cost them dearly in supplies preventing them from further advance.

It’s pretty exciting times here at CRS.  1.30 is now in open beta testing and a new Campaign has begun on the live server.  With the start of this new campaign we also transfer Allied CinC Joker007 and Axis CinC Fiambre to the old CinC’s home.  Gentlemen, thank you for your service to the community and the sides you represented.  You and your players sure made Campaign 51 a unique one.  Even with Joker007 and Fiambre’s retirements, we are pleased to announce two new Commanders-in-Chief; Westwild for the Axis forces and Trekman for the Allied forces.  Gentlemen, good luck and good hunting.  Now, onto the reports.

FROM THE DESK OF THE ALLIED COMMANDER IN CHIEF:

S! Allied Players

Campaign 52 has begun in earnest.

We have been victorious in Bergen-Op-Zoom. By capturing this strategic town, we’ve put a damper in any plans to swarm over the Zeelands and have deep water naval bases close to Antwerp. Good Job.

A Salute to Joker007, our departing CinC:

I want to extend a personal thanks to Joker007. He has led the Allies in many campaigns. His service to the Allied side and the game as a whole is to be commended by all. On one of the days of the last campaign, Joker led a dogged defense of Amiens for several hours with only a naval brigade against 8 Axis brigades. Through his leadership, the Allies held out till the last man and slowed the Axis attackers. This is only an example; this type of leadership was common for Joker. He put in many hours communicating and leading the map. I can only hope to live up to his examples. S! To you sir.

We have a lot of work to do going forward in this campaign. HC officers, be sure to check the forums for current objectives and operation notifications. Keep up the communications with the player base. Get everyone involved and keep them informed. Our goal this campaign is to provide a more old school type of game. More cooperative HC leadership, more combined operations, more communication, and hopefully has fun doing it.

S! Allies,

Trekman
