In your initial moments of WWII Online Game Play as a new player, there are many questions that need answering and direction on how to navigate the user interface. The Host Squad program was designed to mitigate those initial learning curves and immediately place someone brand new on day-1 into a Squad so they wouldn't be lost in the mix.
This program remains a vital asset to harness and carry these new players initially. We've contacted Zach who has been a long time player of the community to help us out after a successful career in High Command followed by some great work in improving the HC Training Command.
We're confident that under his leadership the program will be brought to a new standard. He's knowledgeable on the game mechanics, community needs and is highly approachable.
Squads are the core foundation of teamwork in the game, this is an opportunity to help the game grow, create bigger battles and have a few benefiting factors like building the size of your squad, creating new friends and force multiplying your operational initiatives.
DETAILED UNDERSTANDING OF HOST SQUAD PROGRAM (HERE)
S! Soldiers,
Many of you may know me from my time in the Training Command, or perhaps for my time in the Allied High Command for the past couple of years. I will be taking over as the new Host Squad Coordinator. This job was previously held by JAMMYMAN, who did an excellent job holding down the fort and building the program to what it was. Based on the previous version of Host Squads, we have been working on rebuilding and recreating the program so that it will be even more successful than it was before in increasing player retention rates.
The Host Squad Program is an accumulation of squads that have signed up for the program and are rotated on a 48-72 hour schedule. The squad that holds the current position on the rotation schedule will automatically recruit any player who signs up with a new account upon their first login.
As we all know, being new to the game and trying to tackle the steep learning curve can be a very frustrating period of time. We were all new to the game at one point, and we have all experienced the learning curve that could prevent so many players with great potential from playing. The majority of us who had to learn on our own had a very painful time doing so. But those that were in a squad and had squad members willing to train and assist them, had learned much quicker and more effectively than those who had done so on their own. This is the problem that the Host Squad Program is going to combat.
With the Steam Greenlight and the Free-to-Play account program hastily advancing, all squads will have a chance to experience the growth that the Host Squad Program holds.
If you're wondering how the Host Squad Program will benefit your squad, here is your answer. The first time that the Host Squad Program was introduced, one of the squads had 200 new members recruited into their squad within a 24 hour period. Each squad had recruited many new players in a very short period of time, helping them effectively build their squads.
Not every new member added to the squad has to remain in the squad, and it is certainly acceptable to send a member to a squad on the opposite side if that is where they would like to play. [TRADE-A-NOOB]
If your squad does its part to help benefit the game in becoming a Host Squad, you will be a big part in growing the community that is Battleground Europe.
The Host Squad Program will make this game bigger, and even better.
