Amiens, the new Stalingrad?

Today, on the 29th day of Campaign #98, the axis side has pushed as far as Abbeville and Montreuil, pushing allied almost off the continent.

However, Amiens, the last remaining french factory town, has withstood axis attacks for several days. Last thursday it was down to just one armybase and one depot, but it held and the allied defenders eventually regained the entire town.

More to the north a small bridgehead still exists with allied holding on to three ports: Boulogne, Calais and Dunkerque. With heavy fighting continuing it will be interesting to see how long allied will be able to hold. If Amiens falls, the axis will be declared victors, due to all french factories being axis.

Will allied be able to push back the axis or eventually fold?

Just want to give a shout out to the darn Allies who refuse to give up! We've been hitting your positions hard and the players that are still with you are doing an amazing job. Great work by all and I hope your HC is recognizing all your hard work.

I guess you could say the spawn delay is acting like the winter that helped defeat Germany, because that is mostly what has stopped us from closing this campaign out in Amien.

About Amiens, yes have had lots of fun fights there!
