Happy New Years to you all! I think we can all agree that it's great to see 2020 come to an end, and here's to hoping for a great 2021. On that note, I wanted to take a moment to address our accomplishments and help set expectations for what this next year is going to look like here at WWII Online. I also have a message for our "Welcome Back Soldiers." So please continue reading be safe tonight!
2020 ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Despite the challenges that came with 2020, I think our biggest accomplishment was being in a position to have a remote-based team already established and overall unaffected in terms of our daily operations. But this year did come with some really great key items that need to be highlighted:
- 12 game releases shipped
- 59 bug fixes delivered
- 54 game updates delivered
- 32 new pieces of content delivered
- Total Deliveries: 157
We also added two new members to our Development and Quality Assurance team(s).
WHAT 2021 WILL BRING
We intend to provide a public roadmap here within January, we're still ironing out those details and the Holi-delay (I mean Holidays) means folks have taken some MUCH needed time off to spend time with family, recover, and prepare for a big year on this end. So standby for that, it will be a 2021 (only) roadmap as compared to a combined 2-year roadmap (like we did for 2019-2020). We still have some existing roadmap items that you'll see come on the list when it comes.
For all of us at CRS, we are working to make 2021 to be another big year of delivering for the WWII Online community. We have bold plans to advance our existing technologies and continue our exploration about how we can take the game further. What you need to know, is that your subscriptions remain ever significant to fueling continued operations and advancing our tech into the future.
It is also going to be our 20th year of continuous operations which comes on June 6th 2021. This is an amazing testament to the dedication of our player base and that of our mostly volunteer team who passionately continue to support and believe in this game. We are still the only ones who do what we do on such a massive and realistic scale.
A MESSAGE TO OUR WELCOME BACK SOLDIERS
It has been wonderful to see all of you guys returning, server population has been up because of this and hopefully you're being reminded of why this game and community rocks. I encourage you guys to stay the course, rejoin our ranks and help take us further and into the future. The thing is, server pop can always be this high or even further, and CRS can produce more content and fixes for you, IF you stick around and help support the game. Yes - it really does come down to you and we're being really direct in hopes that it'll sink in.
I hope you continue to enjoy this time remaining (ends January 5th), and come January 6th you subscribe at http://account.wwiionline.com.
CLOSING WORDS TO ALL
The team and I are very encouraged by the continued enthusiasm of our player base that the game is going in the right direction, many things are happening behind the scenes that we cannot wait to unveil when the time is right. Our eyes are on the future, both what we can do with what we got, and how we can take our technology forward. Your subscriptions are going to good use and are not simply and only going into keeping the lights on.
Join our subscriber ranks if you're on the fence. Recognize your value to the game's health and progression and act. As a community, work together to retain our guys who are coming back to the welcome back soldier promotion, do your due diligence, and help answer questions for them or point them to us so we can help. Get on Discord and stay connected with our community at https://discord.gg/wwiionline.
Thanks for your support and helping to make World War II Online one of the longest-running Massively Multiplayer Online Games in gaming history. Let's take it further as a team!

Looking back to the 12/31/2019 post and I posted the exact same thing. Infantry play sucks and nothing is being done to address it, at least not openly. It would at least be nice to see it mentioned even for you to say there is nothing we can do about it. Then we would at least know it is not being ignored.
