XOOMFor the last few weeks we have been quietly onboarding one of the original RATS, "CORN." We're very excited to have him back on our team and you can bet that is a mutual feeling! We've asked CORN to help us out with Production and over the years he has also gained some great experience in project management and Web SEO which will be valuable for boosting our presence in the search engine. He's working closely with HATCH to get up to speed and is immediately focusing on some of those long standing ATG flip bugs you guys have been asking us to resolve. For CORN it's like riding a bike, he's shaking off the dust and is gaining momentum quickly. Contained inside is a great message from CORN to all of you, so keep reading - and once again welcome back CORN!

XOOMProgrammers are at the tip of the spear at Cornered Rat Software. You'll be moving the game forward by resolving outstanding issues, implementing new features and acting as subject matter experts relating to our technology, and we are seeking additional developers to join our team in an effort to accomplish more for the WWII Online player base. If you're proficient in C++ and you have the motivation to sink your teeth into tough but very meaningful tasks, we'd love to hear from you. If you're interested, please fill out this Volunteer Developer - Questionnaire. 

Please don't apply if you do not have at least 2 years of C++ experience; you do not have at least 10 hours per week of actual coding that you can devote to the project, or you anticipate a major life change within 6 months and cannot commit. Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you!

From the Desk of the Game Manger (OHM)

 

Eight days ago the campaign started out like any other. Over the past eight days we have seen the population rise. This is a welcome sight to see.

There has been so many great battle's on the Ground and in the Air!   WBS= the best fights in a long time  

The front line is moving BUT the total town count has only changed by seven towns in the Axis favor. The Allies have been pushing in the northern part of the map while the Axis have made gains in the southern part. 

With WBS going on and most of the world stuck at home get in game and enjoy the fun by support the side you love to play S!

XOOM

Hey all, Campaign server will be coming offline at 12PM server time today for approximately 60-90 minutes. We have repaired one of our main boxes and will be returning a current virtual process back to the physical machine. We hope this will improve the performance of the game server and overall connectivity. 

The forums will also be coming offline for a few hours as we do an important backup of all data and prepare that for our development environment to test upgrading the software. A good solid productive day here at Cornered Rat Software!

XOOMWe'd like to welcome you back to WWII Online, now in Portland! Systems are coming back online and we're still in the process of migration. However for the most part things are coming together and gaining momentum, WOOT! Campaign server is now online and operational and you should be able to update your accounts to get back into the game at http://account.wwiionline.com. We appreciate your support and patience during this process, and we hope you all had a very Merry Christmas. Get in-game soldiers!
