After much patience from our community and several sleepless nights from team members at CRS, we are pleased to report that the Junkers Ju-88A4 is now officially COMPLETE and will be entering WWII Online in our next update! This not only marks an important Roadmap delivery, but the very first ground-up aircraft that CRS 2.0 has built. This is HUGE! Contained within this article is more information about the aircraft, including a salute to all those who helped contribute to its delivery and an important player guide.

In some ways, I cannot believe that I am actually typing this wonderful and long-awaited confirmation on the arrival of the fabled Junkers Ju-88 bomber. To some, it must have felt like forty years in the desert and to your doughty and indomitable CRS team, it was a very difficult yet ultimately satisfying achievement. To provide some perspective, this was the first plane model developed from scratch by CRS 2.0. As we are predominantly a volunteer-powered organization, it has taken us years to deliver on this commitment with integral teammates old and new, departed and new additions; all of which combined into the seminal effort of producing an accurate and needed fast-bomber. They all should be recognized for their individual contributions, HATCH, CORN, MKW, BMWM, SADGUY, and SCOTSMAN and, of course, our QA Team for steadfastly reviewing the model updates in making the Ju-88 a reality for WWII Online.
Roadmap Deliverable: Junkers Ju-88A4 Bomber
- This fast medium bomber was named the "Schnell Bomber" due to its speed
- Multiple and diverse variants of the Ju-88 throughout the war
- A medium bomber with an ordnance load of 4 SC250kg bombs stowed on outboard hard-points on the wing
- Upon the future introduction of the Wellington, additional bombs will be added to the Ju-88 payload.
- When bomber load outs are reintroduced, and after the Wellington is delivered, the Ju-88 will have different load out options.
- Greater defensive armament than the He-111 with 4 MG81s total to include a paired set in the ventral gondola position
Listed below are two resources to introduce you to the Ju-88. Whether are not you are a pilot, I encourage you to spawn this plane off-line and soak in the intricate detail of the cockpit and other portions of this wonderful plane.

With the introduction of the Junkers Ju-88, CRS has delivered on another 2022 Roadmap commitment which was to prioritize and complete ALL remaining 2021 Roadmap items as quickly as possible. Some items from the 2021 Roadmap remain and we are committed to getting this done - BUT we are one step closer thanks to your continued support.

A word from XOOM: "This is an exciting day for all WWII Onliner's as we finally get the good news that the Ju-88 is done! I know this has taken a long time to deliver on and I wanted to say thanks for continuing to believe in us and support us. There is so many activities going on here right now and it's a great time to see us break new barriers like this one for our team, who has mostly had to reverse engineer things and rebuild our development and production pipelines. Good things are ahead, even more than this. Show us your support and subscribe so we can get more developers for the game. Go to http://www.wwiionline.com/account and step up. Thank you S!"
We hope to see you on the battlefield SOON and not soontm.
