WWII Online Version 1.36.4.2 hotfix released tonight.

IMPORTANT!!! Everyone needs to download the latest installer by going to http://www.wwiionline.com/downloads. Patching is having an issue and it's something we're diagnosing. Download the 64bit or 32bit client based on what your operating system is. Continue reading for more details about this patch.

Version 1.36.4.2 - April 2020

April 14th, 2020 Servers will be coming down around 7:00pm Server time (US Pacific). For this hotfix, 64-bit players need to click on "replace existing version" when prompted.

This hotfix release fixes a few issues that were revealed after the initial 64bit public release


Bug Fixes

  • Corrected an issue that was causing the 64bit Mac client to crash whenever submitting a .bug or .report
  • Fixed an issue with logging on the server-side of things

A few Steam players who use Mac OS (including myself) have reported the inaccessibility of this game since the new 64-bit was released, and now this hotfix is not working for us on the organic version; it looks like a lot of us will be out of the game for awhile. I appreciate the progress CRS has made in the past few years, all the while dealing with some very harsh and unfair criticism and not much gratitude from the playerbase (thank you for putting up with us), but in all fairness, I have to agree with kjellf and macalex on this one; put simply, we desire more quality-control for future releases.

64bit macOS version is borked. Right at the end of loading the game the resolution goes awry and locates the game in the lower quarter of the screen. It's tiny and is impossible to do anything sensible with. Have to agree with kjellf that you don't have a good record on this kind of thing. Really, really need to raise your game.

Game starts very slow and cant se any brigades ore mission then it crash. You have done it again. Every time you ppl do a update something go wrong

"replace existing version" is not prompting; simply crashing.
