DOCWell no not really. We did find a bug after the opening of the campaign that appears to have been a bugged file in the wrong place, with the result that the Mk.Ia Spitfire became very immune to incoming round collisions. Swift action by coders and producers removed the aircraft from spawnlists, tested it and drew up an alternative spawnlist solution, tested the alternative aircraft to be sure of no repeat situation ... edited the host files and uploaded them; turning the problem around on the live server in less than an hour.

As a result of this, and because a new unprepared patch cycle would take at least a week to complete, if not longer ... we will not be re-introducing the Spitfire Mk.Ia to the game this campaign unless it is ready for a subsequent (and so far not planned) point release, AND if it is still a relevant aircraft at that time. We apologize for the snafu but we're real glad we caught it quickly and resolved the situation into a workable alternative in such a short period of time.

Thanks everyone for your support and understanding, it really does help us a hell of a lot. Have fun!

Dude, we're all rubbish at some point in time. Everytime someone kills me I know they are saying on side chat "that Doc is rubbish!" :)

Thank god for that. It was really annoying hitting the spit about six times with a bofors with no results! I was starting to think I was just rubbish. Well, actually I am.
