We have a hotfix patch (1.35.2) which is currently in testing and slated to be released prior to the big welcome back soldier (wbs) promotion. Hopefully you all read the community update outlining what's inbound for WBS and are rallying squads back together. We're gaining momentum in development and fixes are coming faster, demonstrating that WWII Online is poised to have another outstanding year!
1.35.2 HOTFIX PATCH
When you release software, it's like you have this never ending amount of stuff to do, whether it's introducing new features that the customers want or need, and the squashing of bugs. 1.35.2 demonstrates how rapidly we can take community feedback and translate that into a development effort.
We're solving a couple of common crashes experienced in 1.35.1 and ironing out some other edges. This patch is currently in testing with our QA team, and we'll be planning to deploy if it passes prior to the start of WBS.
PATCHING FROM 1.34 TO 1.35
This has been a bit of a difficulty, but we have a solution inbound. GADGET has been working behind the scenes preparing several older versions to patch properly from the 1.34 playgate to the 1.35. We have two different playgate's for these because they're using a different Authentication server. The new authentication server has better code built by our team and is much more manageable than what 1.34 was running.
Users who are running anything older than that last 1.34 client (1.34.16.255) will be required to download a full installation of 1.35 on both PC and Mac. Mac patching isn't quite ready yet so this is nothing new for them (sorry guys, we are working on it!).
WELCOME BACK SOLDIER - STARTS JUNE 1ST
The entire month of June is going to be open for all returning players, and even all free players will receive free premium access. This is such an important time for everyone in the community to start reaching out to our friends who might be in other games or just waiting for 1.35. Guess what - It's here! So start rallying the troops asap.
In terms of supply, I'll definitely be monitoring that closely and will likely boost supply up in order to manage the influx of players more effectively.
SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR NEEDED!
We're looking for some folks who have System Administrator skills and love the game. While we have a lot of great development going on, this is one area we could definitely use some help in. Please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you are a Sys-Admin and are interested in volunteering, I'd really like to hear from you. Linux experience is a big plus.
Okay that's all for now, let's go raise awareness of the game improvements and populate this battlefield!
