Free To Play Replacing Free Trial

We have made the big decision to move to a Free To Play offer replacing the current Free Trial offer that we have been using for many years.

As things are changing here at WWII Online, we believe this is a very progressive step to comfortably invite more players to try WWII Online. Free Trials to an initial prospective customer suggests short term duration of service, or potential credit card requirements down the road (even though we have clearly labeled our offers to not require this).

We've been in the planning stage for a few weeks now and we're getting closer to rolling this into effect. This will serve us very well from a Marketing perspective, and our new "unique" visitors that check into our site will feel more comfortable with trying our game.

Each month our website gets upwards to 90,000 Unique visitors that check us out, with nearly 200,000 views a month. Our Trial Sign Ups are nearly 90-110 per day (on average), and our Host Squad program is in strong effect working hard to retain them.

Some things will be noticeably different than the previous trial accounts. Users access to equipment will be less, and capturing cp's will be enabled. Probably the biggest difference will be that the accounts will not need to be reactivated for at least 1 years time, and the access these users start out with will not change from Day 1 to Day 30 (providing they do not upgrade).

Speaking of "upgrading," we're in the preliminary stages of considering a medium tier pricing schedule. While we are not ready to announce the details of this, it goes to show we are clearly creating value out of current pricing plans. We will be pressing hard on "F2P" as our initial priority.

We want to keep you guys in the loop of what we're up to here. On an separate note, I've been working with our Community Volunteers to get hooked up with MMORPG.COM and begin advertising WWII Online in their newsletter. This is a great opportunity because their customers are specifically tailored for our "niche" market.

With your support we'll be in 8 consecutive newsletters distributed to 250,000 MMORPG.COM subscribers listing out our new offer of "FREE TO PLAY" once it is complete. This comes at a small cost, with a strong return potential.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Subscription plans will remain in effect, we are only replacing the Free Trial offer with a Free To Play offer.

Even if their computer is powerful enough, their
sound and graphics cards may 't be up to snuff.
As a former naval pilot, gamers are taught the basics through a last mission tutorial while still i'm able to
Navy.

Only took 2.5 years since suggesting this. Glad you all finally got there. Enjoy the slaughtering of green tags. Now, about the navy?

I posted this on 4chan tonight. Within 1 hour I had a 100 people playing ww2ol. For about 95% of these guys this was the first time ever hearing about BE. Everyone is wetting their panties. Everyone is happy. And everyone is spreading the word

Yes, I was really excited to try the game and I started filling out the form for the free trial and then cancelled it when I read something somewhere about charging to credit card. I want F2P option.

Now with f2p I hope to attract few of my friends. This way I'll get back to premium and they will have f2p. Everybody happy. Now I hope that some day you will implement that rich terrain from RA(and training terrain) to normal ww2 servers.

Can we transform old prenium account for a F2P account?

I can safely say I'll be coming back to WWIIOL now as a F2P account. The sub was always such a deterrent for me (along with the sys req, but hey Moore's Law has worked its magic in the last couple years!).

Very, very smart move from Cornered Rat.
