POINTS FOR TRUCKERS?

"I have been playing this game for about a week, and I LOVE driving the HT...But, being a noob this is a bad way to rank up as I have found out. I don't get points for towing, I don't get points for resupplying, and as I am in a Halftrack and cannot MSP, I don't get points for spawning infantry.  Could it be possible to give points for giving ammo and towing guns? Even if it is just one point per resupply or per tow?"

DOC: We want to expand the opportunities for gaining points while doing less obvious or more supporting roles in the game, like supplying ammo and towing guns and so on. We just haven’t made it out from under the critical work we’ve taken on in order to get to the less critical coding tasks. That doesn’t mean we never will, just that we still have a little way to go. I would imagine we can get some of this stuff done this year. We certainly would like to.

I totally agree. Everyone complains about never getting ammo from supporting units, or "Why should I spawn a truck, get killed ten times hurt my K/D ratio to supply people and get no points.

Can we have a /taunt type system? Where when you kill a guy you say something like:

"I just kicked your ass" to kind of taunt the dead body...

How about like 20 points for placing a UMS? THEN there would be like 50 UMS's per attack. only prob is you'd have to edit the max distance for a MS, or else there will be tons of max distance MS's and people will have to run over 1 KM to town.

DOC, I agree with the OP in that players really could use some more intensive in playing certain supporting roles. As it is now and as i am rather certain of, many players find themselves begging for ammo; especially HE round on the axis side.

Points for sapping FBs should be based on the number of charges successfully placed. It doesn't make sense to get the same number of points for setting 1 charge, then dying, compared to getting all 4 placed.

I hope that would also extend to sappers (finally) getting points for fixing AI pits and towers, but yeah, the truckers do deserve some "incentive" (points) for doing resupply and towing!

They have to look at balance issues too because they don't want to create a "grinding" scenario to tank through ranks.
