Our new coding intern weighs in on a players concerns: "Well we can agree on that 30 secs is a bearable delay to spawn. However 60 secs and above is just frustration for me and many others. We have a game that lives a and thrives on team play. Now when a side actually gets its shat together and manages a major operation, the game punishes the side that is trying to do what the game is about. I suppose no matter how one turns that one, there really isn't any positive thing to say about 10 min FRU timer."

What you see and how you see it in WWIIOL can be a bit difficult to grasp, but it's actually pretty straight forward. "Now I am puzzled. Is it right that if I can only kill things that are visible to me there must be a maximum height above which it is impossible to kill anything when bombing? Is it also the case that when I try to hit an atg whose muzzle flash I can see that this is a pointless exercise if the atg itself is not visible to me? Other examples like this eg tank mg fire into inf spawns in an ab from distance. And what if I can see them and they can't see me?"

The latest update saw the introduction of a couple of new "Noob-friendly" features: Waypoints and Death Icons. While the way-points are pretty much considered the cat's meow, there is less love for the floating death icons: "Yeah I don't like the skulls either. It might tell you there is an ei in that general area, but who really expects him to be there when ya get back."

From the Barracks this week: "Too many times I and others have been stranded by some HC pulling an AO without warning. Sure, we get the on screen message, but it's not enough time to RTB usually if ur in town doing battle. How about even after an AO is pulled the town is capturable as long as we have any infantry there? Supply can be pulled, but at least the guys still there have something to fight for instead of trying to sneak out of town or take a MIA. The AO system, and pretty much the HC system too, are not exactly perfect as most admit, so why not try tweaking it some?"

AHWULF addresses an issue that is affecting a few players that he and MARTINI are trying to solve: "This ctd bug has got to stop!It is inconceivable to me that with 9GB of RAM on Win7/64 and 1892MB on the nvidia card, I could hit out of memory absent a severe memory leak in the game itself given that nothing else was running other than Chrome."
