Q: Whats the deal with 1.5? Is it going to change anything at all?

A: Well we’re still working hard on the upgrade and it’s not done yet. We’re building dev. versions for preliminary testing and we’ll be telling you about this as progress is made towards features solidifying. We’re hoping to give the game an improved, more modern look and feel, and maybe include some other features we can’t mention yet. You’ll be hearing more about this soon. We can’t really talk performance until we get to debug all the new stuff and see where it goes and can be configured to work as seamlessly as possible, ie: it’s too early to tell. Certainly improved performance even with a much more intense visual environment is our goal here.

Q: When watching WWII footages or gun cams you always see MG tracers bouncing off the target or the ground and spraying around wihch looks pretty spectacular. Wouldn’t that be a nice improvement of game play atmosphere, having tracers and see them bouncing off targets, buildings and hard terrain for example? I know every round is calculated in game, so it would be heavy to implement accurately “calculated tracers” , but maybe it´s possible to implement some random tracer bouncing effect?

Q: We don’t know if static FBs will ever be replaced but it must be planned for don’t you think?

A: We'll have mobile (not fixed) FB's as soon as all the code to make that possible is done. We cannot predict when exactly that will be. However most already know that it's in our plans (because discussed it previously) and that's all that can be said until it's much closer to being an in game reality.

Q: Why do all the German tanks have neato adjustable gunsights and the British ones don’t?

A: History is why. We modeled the gunsights based on the same historical data we used for their guns, engines, armour and everything else. The German tank optics were considered the best of WWII on average, and the functionality of their rotating range adjustment was a much prized benefit of their design. The Allied gunsights (British or French or American) are also modeled on their historical counterparts. If they are less groovy it’s because they were less groovy in real life too.
