Is the tick-tick damage sound we hear aboard ships tied to the floatation units only or is this more complicated than that and if so just what does generate these various tick-tick alerts?

I know that this will probably be a no-go, but instead of the next aircraft model being another fighter, would it be possible to get an SNJ-4 or another two-seat trainer aircraft that can be multi-crewed and be flown from both positions. This aircraft would pretty much be only for the training server to aid in training new pilots.

Finally, some mailbag questions! The poor thing has sat there empty for weeeeeeks.  
 
With the unity 2 engine, would it be possible to generate weather based on historical times? I know that alot of us players want to see something besides just summer all the time in game.  Could the engine handle something like this?
