We do our best here to have two-way communication with our community and we've benefited greatly by getting suggestions and feedback on WWII Online since we launched in 2001.
Last week we said goodbye to our coding intern Brian "SHEF" Shef. It was great having him on the team for the past year, and I personally enjoyed dropping into his office for geek chats every day. Shef will still hopefully drop by to visit, and we're hopeful he'll be able to keep running our weekly D&D sessions. Smell ya later, Shef! We'll miss you.
This year The WWII Online project will mark the 13th year since it began life as design notes in a binder and the 11th year of continuous live game operations. It has outlasted virtually every other MMO ever published and has passed many milestones since we launched in June of 2001. WWII Online is now at critical crossroads in it's life as the greatest WWII MMO sim ever made.

2011 had up and downs for the Rats. We reached many of goals while some remain on the horizon. We were pretty excited to finally add another country to the game with the U.S. forces while we're still feeling the aftershocks of host re-writes that were necessary for us to move forward.
