We've had plans for a long time to make improvements to the bombers in Battleground Europe that extend well beyond the simple concept of just making newer bombers. While newer bombers added to the game is a desirable thing to do, it's probably more important to work on improving the way bombers function first, so that any new bombers would make better use of what they are and bring to the game. This is doubly important when you consider what any newer bombers generally would include, that being MORE EFFECTIVE GUN DEFENSES.

Here we sit. Another Tuesday morning production meeting is underway. The usual suspects are around our conference room table; Gophur- looking a little more haggard than last week. Head in hands, reviewing his notes from Beta. Doc- notepad and coffee in front of him. His face showing a few days of stubble and some dark circles under his eyes. Motormouth- ever hopeful of sharing news about 1.31 with players. Pen at the ready. Bloo- thinking about performance surveys and Beta Q.A. while steadying himself for the hour long agenda ahead. And me- I'm at the keyboard updating our weekly meeting notes and preparing to revisit last week's business... always beginning with progress on outstanding critical 1.31 tickets. This is the 10th week our agenda has started with 1.31 Open Beta. It won't be our last.

News Flash:  CRS moves to reduce potential minimum AO numbers during unusually reduced server populations to 1 (from 2).  What does this mean and why was this decision taken?  And what does Motormouth look like in real life.  (Answer:  Picture Shaquille O’Neil…she would be his uvula). CRS has had constant player input through .reports and emails and phone calls to Rat Bunker HQ.  Their concern:  Weird playing strategies that are only seen in the OFF PEAK TIMEZONE (TZ3).

To some, ground brigade movement may be obvious. Others may question the reason behind why brigades are moved or placed the way they are.  Then there are those who just want a good fight and don't care about the mechanics. Years ago I was firmly in that latter group.  In the interest of promoting understanding among players as to why their respective High Command may be moving divisions/brigades in a certain way I thought it may be helpful to provide a basic overview.

How many of you have seen the phrases “Follow the ant trail” or “Don’t follow the ant trail”?  I know I have but it’s often forgotten in your rush to get to forward base, flag building or tank.
I often see /reports about “he has an invisible bush bug” or “he must be spying because he found our MS”.  Well, consider how you and others are approaching a target as a reason you and your buddies are dying and being discovered so quickly.
