Was just fixing a long standing bug yesterday, that drove me batsh*t crazy for the entire day. This happened to be the one where you need to kill all the engines in a multi-engined plane for an engine kill to be awarded to the shooter.

... in the original version that would read "forum" but we don't talk about them much around here. :) It has been an unusual campaign so far though, there's no denying that, even if some are sharpening their knives rather than laughing. I spoke today with the GHC and the risky "take the Zeelands first at all cost" plan didn't quite work out the way they had hoped and came at rather a higher cost than might have been predicted.
Our latest poll reveal what comes as no surprise: WWIIOL players can't get enough DOC! 32.5% of poll respondents would prefer to attend RAT CHATS on "Weapons Dev & De-bug with DOC & KFS1". Coming in a close second as topic of choice is "General Game dev with GOPHUR". "Art Production" and "HC/Brigade/AO" chats were not far down interest-wise.
I vividly remember my first day in WWIIOL. I spawned into Vireaux and wandered around aimlessly for an hour or so. I checked out the buildings, the AB, perused the landscape. I randomly pushed buttons on my keyboard and clicked on stuff to see what would happen. Then I got shot in the noggin and understood why tourism dropped drastically in France in the late '30's.
There's no denying it. More players makes this game more fun. Taking part in a battle with hundreds of infantry and armor while bombers attack and fighters defend above is the rush we all get from Battleground Europe. Target-rich environments make for exciting game play and help to keep longtime players around and also encourage trial players to become subscribers. The other part of it? More players mean money for needed resources at Cornered Rat Software. Recruitment for free trials, pre-paid subscriptions and Builder accounts are vitally important to our ability to continue expanding the feature set and ultimately bringing new and bigger experiences to the WWII Online design. How can you help? Let's count the ways.
