As you know, Playnet/CRS is actively working to modernize WWII Online and bring it to modern-day standards. In addition, we are continuously developing WWII Online 1.0 and providing new features and fixes routinely - with 11 releases shipped and an all-new game server giving the best ever European ping times over this last year. Then we have our WWII Online: Chokepoint project which is creating the basis of WWII Online 2.0 infantry and new content.

Happy July 1st everyone! As we announced in our, "The Future of WWII Online", article/videos (which places all the plans on the table) - we have now completed all elements of our transition with consolidating our subscriptions (removing Starter, All Infantry, All Air Force and All Ground Forces - all of which are being converted over to premium as we speak) and we're back to having a "Premium" subscription only. With that, we've unlocked the games original pricing of $9.99/mo (USD), this is the first time it has been at this retail rate in over 15 years. As we said in our original announcement unveiling this plan, this is a big risk for us to take and in order for us to keep it at this rate, we're going to need existing players to hold onto their current subscriptions AND see a growth with this new rate (free players or returning players subscribing). We've done it to meet customer requests and remove as much entry barrier as possible, we can't go any lower than this. We do reserve the right to roll this back if required, as we have briefed everyone upfront.
This isn't just about keeping the lights on, or focusing strictly on what content and features you get... it's much bigger than that. It's about the FUTURE of the game. I want you all to think of this like an internal funding campaign ~ because it really is. Help us innovate and bring the next 20 years of WWII Online to the masses. Today I am pleased to announce that CRS has provided Free Play subscription access to ALL veterans of WWII Online, and you may play the game immediately! Anyone who has ever had a premium subscription has received a Free Play sub added to their primary account, meaning all players of WWII Online will now be able to play - always - with Free Play (limited) access. This is a bold move for us but we believe it's not only a great way to keep players connected, but we think it's the right thing to do during this unprecedented time in our world's history to give all of our players the opportunity to play the game and disconnect from stress. We see this as a perpetual "welcome back soldier" while still maintaining the value of our subscriptions. Please continue reading for more information.

We've implemented our new billing system and we're now able to accept online payments via Debit/Credit card, and continuing with PayPal. All PayPal payments will now go into a recurring payment plan and the old way of "manual payments," has been officially changed, for the better. Everyone will need to update their billing method, you should do this right away, at https://account.wwiionline.com/account/pay. Once you've updated your payment method and payment has been sent, let us know so we can configure your account accordingly (submit new tickets here). This is still a work in progress but is now functional and ready to work.
