OPERATION POSEIDON: Intelligence Report

The German Blitzkrieg has SMASHED its way to the French coast and English Channel.  In response to the fast-moving German advance, the British Royal Navy has moved all available flotillas to BERCK-PLAGE and off-loaded BEF troops and armor to aid the French naval fleet based in BOULOGNE. No organized French ground units are in the coastal area between LE TOQUET and CALAIS. German light infantry and reconnaissance forces have overrun weary French Army units stationed in LE TOQUET, forcing a retreat with the French Airforce relocating to CALAIS.

Ominous news reported as German units holding the southern flank of LE CROTOY report United States troops, armor, and light US naval forces are reportedly moving up from the coastal town of CAYEAUX, southwest of LE CROTOY. With German forces nearly encircled at LE CROTOY and no strong formations near, the Wehrmacht is attempting to break-out north to BERCK-PLAGE and link up with smaller German units in LE TOQUET. In the chaos, forward-based Luftwaffe units have abandoned the ABBEVILLE airfield for a more secure airfield in AMIENS, southeast of LE CROTOY.

FROM CRS

This is a unique naval event where our campaigns do not always showcase heavy naval combat. We encourage the community to make use of all naval assets and their capabilities regarding mobile spawns, transport of troops, and resupply of fuel and ammo to leverage those capabilities for a successful capture of their objectives.
