Cornered Rat Software continues to introduce and refit vehicle models that are Unreal Engine ready when plugged into WWII ONLINE. The higher poly count models have been baked down for use in our current 1.0 graphics engine.

What do these new models mean to gamers?

  • Greater visual appeal (exterior & interior)

  • Increased crewman functionality (commander &/or additional driver capabilities)

  • Deployment of smoke grenades (vehicle-specific)

  • Use of episcopes & periscopes

  • Vehicle-specific commanders can perform "dual-functions" when deployed (observation binoculars & use of AA machine gun). EX: Panther commander

What remains "under the hood" is WWII ONLINE's commitment to historical accuracy in:

  • Armor thickness and angle

  • Armored glass/viewport thickness

  • Automotive and suspension component performance & damage

  • Engine and transmission performance & damage

  • Shell & projectile physics

  • Armor penetration & spall

  • High-fidelity flight & damage model

  • Airframe damage caused by excessive g-force maneuvers

  • And more . . .

This has been our game's signature for the last 25+ years.

THE BELOW SCREENSHOTS ARE ALL WORKS IN PROGRESS (WIP) AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE. THESE ARE NOT FINALIZED MODELS.

AEC MK II HEAVY ARMOURED CAR

Inspired and undertaken as a private venture, British Associated Equipment Company (AEC) designed and produced the "heavy armoured car" AEC series. Its unusual size of 12+ tons, angular shape, and high silhouette, combined with the British primary QF 2-pounder anti-tank cannon, the AEC prototype caught the eye of Prime Minister Winster Churchill and production was green-lit. As the war progressed, marks II and III were produced in limited numbers, totaling over 600 vehicles. The AEC MK II with the QF 6-pounder fulfilled reconnaissance and support roles with the ability to surprise enemy armor with its potent main gun.

The AEC MK II has unusual functionality as the Loader position deploys smoke rounds through a fixed smoke mortar in the turret. The orientation of the main gun dictates where the smoke rounds are deployed. The Loader also has a 360-degree view through a periscope similar to the Commander.
