WWII Online enters "Open Beta" to test spawn protection mode and other fixes staged for deployment.

Current values for Spawn Protection Mode:

  • Infantry

    • 10 meters from origin

    • 15 seconds from spawn

  • Ground Vehicles

    • 10 meters from origin

    • 15 seconds from spawn

  • Aircraft

    • 200m meters from origin

    • 15 seconds from spawn

  • Navy

    • 10 meters from origin

    • 15 seconds from spawn


Whichever value happens first, spawn protection will then drop. This includes if they fire their primary trigger at anytime.

Version 1.38.2.0 - January 2026


Introducing "Spawn Protection Mode," providing global player protection upon spawn in. This update also dramatically improves quality of life for our truck drivers and logistics operations, enabling all mobile spawns across all trucks and haulers (armed or unarmed), and self-propelled anti-aircraft weapons.


Features

  • Spawn Protection Mode for air, land and sea units.

  • Fallbacks for moveable brigades now survive server restarts.

  • Trucks, Haulers (armed or unarmed) and SPAAs can now deploy all mobile spawn types.

  • Changed name of new large walled mobile spawn to "Outpost."

  • Restored old FMS model for more deployment options.

  • Infantry fall damage reduced slightly.

  • New Towns Added: Great Yarmouth, Aldeburgh, Harwich, Felixstowe, Lowestoft, Colchester, Orford, Woodbridge, Southwold, Halesworth, Norwich and Cromer.

  • New small tower PPO added.

  • Playnet copyright updated to 2026.


Bug Fixes

  • Tint on aircraft canopies resolved, now more clear.

  • Radial clutter no longer flickers.

  • Vehicle materials no longer flicker when two vehicles are inside/outside near each other.

  • Fixed a clip point on Fire Base (FB) infantry spawn.

  • Re-added French Torpedo bomber to be spawnable.

  • Tilburg church no longer clips a building.

  • Somzee city hero monument no longer on a berm.

  • Trelon AI tower no longer clipping a wall.

  • Railroad rails now match bridge rails.

  • Bedford truck no longer gets stuck in dunes tiles.

  • Outpost deployment ranges adjusted:

    • From enemy facility: 100m (500m total).

    • From a friendly facility: 200m.

  • Fw-190 wings now render properly across all LODs.
