Welcome to our August production update. For those of you keeping score it's been a month since our last one and it's been over 100 degrees every day since then here at Rat HQ. Awesome! We've had quite a few changes go in that I want to cover today but before we do that I want to let everyone know that we're prepping for our next open test.

Beginning Saturday, August 6th and 12:00pmCDT, until Sunday, August 7th at 6pmCDT, premium subscribers are invited to try out the new American and German weapons on the Beta server for a weekend of testing. Log in to test out the new shoulder mounted weapons, both the American Bazooka and the German PanzerShreck will be in the equipment lists, as well as the BAR, Gewehr, and the Garand.

Yesterday we announced the upcoming launch of three new "Rapid Action" scenarios, including new infantry and weapons. In addition to a detailed recreation of the Dog Green sector of Omaha Beach, a french village has been created for two new combat scenarios: Le Pont du Mal and River run. These maps are the perfect scale for some intense squad on squad squirmishes. Be the first squads to put the new scenarios through their paces!

Our next release for WWIIOL, version 1.34, is currently in beta testing and that means its time to do an update. Right now everyone's talking about Americans this and Bazookas that or their frothing over new terrain and other technologies like mine fields and wondering when these cool new technologies will find their way into the campaign. Very exciting stuff to be sure. However, today, I'm going to talk instead about several of the changes in 1.34 that might not have been getting so much press and explain some of the nuances of some that have.
